27 Weeks

How far along? 27 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 10 pounds gained (yep, I said it). Right on track for heading into the last trimester next week...so I don't feel too badly about it.

Maternity clothes? Not yet! All of my clothes still fit. Luckily, the baby is sitting high enough that my jeans still button up. But, I don't think I'll make it through the winter without having to buy a maternity winter coat...but I'm gonna try. I may buy a pair of jeans too. We'll see how I like them after I try some on. Word on the street is that I'll LOVE them. I just started my clothing list this week so we'll see what happens. I just added maternity/nursing tanks too. I'm in the contemplation stage. I've made it this far...but have a ways to go. May have to just go and try stuff on, and then get overwhelmed and buy one thing lol.

Stretch marks? None...yet.

Sleep: Still loving it! Can sleep through the night if I stop beverages early, and still can sleep on my side without pillows propping me. Sometimes, I'll wake up on my right and roll over to the left. But for some reason the left side is more comfortable than the right (not how it was pre pregnancy) now anyway.

Best moment this week: Actually watching my clothes move when I get kicked (and wondering if anyone else in the room saw), being kicked in the ribs, Braxton Hicks (which I've had since 20 weeks...yay me for being majorly in tune with my body...says the midwife) which are cool now that I know what they are.

Movement: Tons! I don't have to start counting til 28 weeks but I can't wait to start!

Food cravings: Nothing that I absolutely have to have now...but I have noticed lots of water! I did go through a rootbeer stage for a week but that's been exhausted.

Gender: We know! And some other people know too! Odds are, if you are reading this, you know. And if you are reading this and you don't know, it's because you've chosen to be surprised.

Labor Signs: None! Just those Braxton Hicks...which is just the bod prepping. They do make me curious though as to what awaits :s At least with the first you are pretty ignorant to the whole ordeal. Sometimes ignorance is bliss!

Belly Button in or out? In. I have an incredibly deep belly button. So deep that if my t-shirts are too thin, and stretchy, you can see where my belly button is. So, who know what will happen. Sometimes I try push out my stomach...I guess I'm attempting to try on the outtie look.

Wedding rings on or off? On and a little loose. It took a long time to pop (5.5 mos) but this 10 lbs gained is all tummy now!

What I miss: Wine. Thank goodness for Pure Blue Unwine...the most delicious, self indulgent, and expensive (maybe not) juice you can buy. It even comes in a wine bottle!

What I am looking forward to: Being able to feel the head and bum and limbs...I think I'm getting close. I can definitely tell where the baby is in my tummy right now.

Weekly Wisdom: Make myself a priority...organize my day so that the things that make me feel good get done first. Work out, plan meals, drink water. Don't feel guilty for making things like sleep a priority...even if it means getting work accommodation for no more night shifts. I haven't had to see a night shift in my schedule since June. Some came up this month, I was nervous but my midwife wrote me a note no prob and work accommodated asap! Without a night shift worked:)

Milestones: Third trimester starts next week!
